Introduction

The Taihang Mountains, which stretch for hundreds of miles across North China, serve as an important boundary between the first and second terraces of China's topography. The terrain on the east and west sides of the mountains is significantly different. The western side, connecting to the Shanxi Plateau, has a relatively gentle slope, while the eastern side, bordering the North China Plain, is more steep and rugged. In many areas of the southern Taihang region, there are obvious fault rock walls formed by crustal movements. These straight and steep cliffs, ranging from tens to hundreds of meters in height, extend for tens of kilometers in the Taihang Mountains, presenting magnificent and breathtaking scenery.
