Introduction

The Shennong Altar is located in Muyu Town, Shennongjia Tourist Area in Hubei Province. It is the southern entrance of Shennongjia tourism and the central tourist area. The entire scenic area is surrounded by green hills and has a pleasant environment. The scenic area is mainly divided into five parts: sacrificial area, botanical garden, ancient tree forest, butterfly specimen museum, and bell performance hall. The architecture of the sacrificial area is led by a Shennong giant ox-headed human statue, which is 21 meters high and 35 meters wide. The statue stands between the lush mountains, with the earth as the body and its eyes closed, seemingly contemplating the mysteries of the universe. The sacrificial area is based on circular and square patterns representing heaven and earth, with five-colored stones representing the five-element theory of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, which is breathtaking.
