Introduction

The solemn and sacred Jinggangshan Revolution Martyrs Cemetery is located in front of the main peak of Jinggangshan, surrounded by green trees. The cemetery consists of four parts: Memorial Hall, Memorial Forest, Memorial Monument, and Sculpture Park. There are two sets of steps ascending the mountain, with 49 steps in the first set, symbolizing the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, and 60 steps in the second set, indicating that the cemetery was built in 1987 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Jinggangshan revolutionary base. In 1997, the "Jinggangshan Revolution Martyrs Memorial Monument" with an inscription by Deng Xiaoping was officially completed.
