Introduction
Shaoxiang Hong is named after a river, with the streets on the north and south banks respectively called Shaoxiang Hong South Street and Shaoxiang Hong North Street. The houses in Shaoxiang Hong basically retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a small river flowing leisurely through it and stone culverts embedded on the riverbank. In a continuous stretch of houses, ancient alleys lead to the river and fields, with winding paths leading to secluded spots. There is a High Street in the north, which extends along Li's Lane, Xiao's Lane and Ni's Lane. In the south, there is Fuben Lane. The word "Port" in Shaoxiang Hong contains two meanings: street and river port. This area used to be inhabited by wealthy people, so the threshold of its buildings is very high, made of whole stones, and the height exceeds one foot.
