Introduction

Lubao Ancestral Temple, also known as Xiangjiang Ancestral Temple, is a historic ancient temple built in the Southern Song Dynasty (1268 AD). The temple has undergone renovations during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The current architectural structure includes the Guanyin Temple in the north, the Wudang Palace in the middle, and the Wenchang Palace added during the Qing Dynasty in the south. Within the scenic area, there are also temples such as Beidi Temple, Guanyin Temple, Wenchang Temple, and Huashan Temple, making it a place that combines Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Lubao Ancestral Temple is considered one of the most influential ancient temples in Guangdong Province, along with Yuecheng Longmu Temple and Foshan Ancestral Temple.
