Introduction

Zhuxi Lake is an artificial reservoir built on the Zhuxi Gulley, a first-level tributary of Nanhe River in Qionglai City, about 8 kilometers away from the city center. Its surface looks like a mirror surrounded by mountains that look like eyebrows. It is located between the Buddhist forest He Lin Temple and the Tibetan Plateau Fu Di Temple, with cultural relics such as the Tang Dynasty Hua Zhi Temple and cliff carvings designated as provincial-level protected monuments. It was praised by the Song Dynasty literati Lu You and Wen Tong. In 1985, General Zhang Aiping, the former Minister of Defense, came here and inscribed the words "Zhuxi Lake" on the left side of the dam's stone tablet. With a catchment area of 12 square kilometers, a water area of over 600 acres, and a storage capacity of 3 million, it integrates irrigation, flood control, tourism, and aquaculture. Here, you can see the lake flowing like a palm, with green islands scattered among them, surrounded by green and clear water. During the day, the surface of the lake glitters with waves, yachts cruising, birds chirping, and butterflies dancing while white egrets settle. At night, the stars sparkle. Zhuxi Lake has rich historical and cultural connotations, unique scenery, and is known as a leisure tourist destination.
