Introduction

The Gu Xi Tai, built in the third year of the Ming Dynasty, has a history of more than 400 years and is one of the famous attractions in Huangyao. It is still in active use today, and on festive occasions, a large number of audiences always gather in front of the stage, making it lively. Over the years, the stage has witnessed many stories of monarchs, beauties, joy and sorrow, but it's ultimately just a fleeting illusion. The stage is unique, with four pillars each embedded with a large water tank to create sound effects – this secret is the key to creating a stunning atmosphere. While the performers sing on stage, the echoes from below the audience seats are continuous, creating a very impressive effect. Whoever designed this stage was undoubtedly a talented genius with nimble thinking. Its design is so exquisite that it can even rival modern stage design. The three characters, "Ke Yi Xing," are inscribed on the central plaque, which was created by Lin Zuojie, a scholar in Huangyao.
