Introduction

Wanlv Lake Scenic Area, located in Xingang Town, Yindongyuan County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, is a national AAAA-level scenic spot and national forest park. Its name comes from the fact that it is full of greenery all year round. As the largest artificial lake in South China, Xinfengjiang Reservoir was built in 1958 during the construction of Xinfengjiang Power Plant. The dam was built in the narrowest mountain pass of the Yaposhan Canyon, which is the path of Xinfengjiang. To get to the scenic area, you can drive from Guanghe Expressway, pass through Shenzhen (Dongguan), then take the Huihe Expressway and Meezhou Expressway to reach Heyuan.
