Introduction

Chongben Hall is located in the north of Changqing Bridge on Fuguan Street, facing south and surrounded by water. It faces Jia Yin Hall across the river to the east and is connected to Changqing Bridge and two other bridges to the west. The neatly paved stone banks serve as guards for this quaint residence. If we compare Tongli to a museum of ancient architecture, then Chongben Hall is a finely carved artwork in this museum, with its exquisite craftsmanship and profound connotation, which impresses every visitor. What is most attractive about Chongben Hall, of course, is its various carvings.
