Introduction

Tianping Mountain Scenic Area is located in the southwest of the ancient city of Suzhou, on the shore of Taihu Lake. It is the core scenic area of the Taihu National Scenic Area and is known for its beauty as the "Number One Mountain in Wu" and "Jiangnan Paradise". With an altitude of 201 meters, Tianping Mountain has steep and perilous terrain. It was formerly known as Baiyun Mountain and also known as Cishan. It is the burial place of the ancestors of the famous Northern Song Dynasty official, Fan Zhongyan. The scenic area covers an area of nearly one hundred hectares and is famous for its "red maple, strange rocks, and clear springs". It has eighteen attractions such as Wanhuzhao, Gaoyi Diecui, Wanzhang Red Clouds, and Yuyuan Qingyin.
