Introduction

Shenting, initially known as Jingye Hall, was later renamed Songmao Hall during the late Qing Dynasty. It was built by Shen Benren, a descendant of Shen Wansan, in the seventh year of the Qianlong reign. Located on the south side of Nan Shi Street in the east of Zhouzhuang's Fuan Bridge, Shenting faces east and has seven deep courtyards and five entrances. In addition, it has over one hundred rooms of varying sizes. Shenting is one of Zhouzhuang's famous attractions, characterized by the typical architectural style of a wealthy family, with an ancient and classical environment. Its main attraction is the Songmao Hall.

Public Transportation: You can take a bus from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to the Zhouzhuang Ancient Town Scenic Area. Bus route 261 from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to Zhouzhuang New Archway Station, which is a 50-meter walk to the Zhouzhuang Ancient Town Scenic Area. 3. Taxi: You can take a taxi from Zhouzhuang Bus Station to the ancient town. The fare for a Santana is 10 yuan per car, and for a Xiali or a mini car is 5 yuan per car. Tips: You can also choose to take a pedicab, which costs 3 yuan per car. Walking from the bus station only takes ten minutes, so walking is the most cost-effective option. Also, do not trust some pedicab drivers who say they can take you into the scenic area for free.
