Introduction

Xinye Ancient Village is located in Daciyan Town, southwest of Jiande City. It is 6 kilometers away from the Daciyan Scenic Area and 11 kilometers away from Zhuge Bagua Village. The village can be reached via National Highway 330. Xinye Village was built in the twelfth year of the Jiajing period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1219 AD). It is called Yuhua Yeshi because the village is dominated by Yuhua Mountain behind the village. According to research, Xinye Village is currently the largest Yeshi settlement village in China. Here, 16 ancient ancestral halls, ancient halls, ancient pagodas, ancient temples, and over 200 ancient residential buildings are well preserved. Due to its long history and diverse architectural styles, it is praised by domestic and foreign experts in ancient architecture as the "Open-air Museum of Chinese Ming and Qing Dynasty Architecture".
