Introduction

Baoshi Mountain is located on the north shore of Beili Lake and is a famous scenic area in the Beishan area. With a height of 78 meters, the mountain consists of rhyolite and tuff, containing iron oxide and appearing reddish-brown. Under the sunlight, it glows like a radiant jade gemstone, hence the name Baoshi Mountain. In the selection of the top ten scenic spots of West Lake, it is named "Baoshi Liuxia". Baoshi Mountain, originally named Jushi Mountain, is full of unique peaks and strange rocks. In front of Lai Feng Pavilion, there is a huge oval rock, known as the Falling Star Stone or Longevity Star Stone, resting on the top of the mountain. On the north side of the mountain top stands a huge rock called Kansong Terrace, with the characters "Tunxia" carved on it. To the west, there is Chuanzheng Cave, formed by towering giant rocks. There is also a path behind the cave with giant footprints on the wall, known as "Dengkai Ling" relating to the story of Qian Shaochao's prowess. From there, you can climb up Lion Rock. With its picturesque scenery resembling a white belt and a clear mirror, it gives a refreshing feeling to the heart and soul.
