Introduction

Fuxian Lake is the largest deepwater freshwater lake in China and the largest lake in the source of the Pearl River. It is known for its clear and transparent water, with ancient descriptions likening it to "10,000 acres of lustrous jade." There are many scenic spots around Fuxian Lake. The west bank features traditional attractions such as Luchong Scenic Area, Gushan Scenic Area, Mingxing Fish Cave Scenic Area, and Biyun Temple. In recent years, the northeast bank has been newly developed with even more beautiful scenery and better vacation experiences, including the Xinhekou Lakefront Park and the Maotianshan National Geopark. Fuxian Lake has seven famous unsolved mysteries, such as the underwater ancient city sunk at the bottom of the lake, the giant fish of Fuxian Lake, the underwater grottoes of Fuxian Lake, and the fish and stone at the boundary of Fuxian Lake.
