Introduction

The Shangkou Folk Village has abundant ecological resources, including natural reed marshes and more than 200 bird species. It is known locally as the "Three Treasures of the Liao River" (clams, wild bamboo shoots, and river carp). The wild bamboo shoots were featured on the TV show "A Bite of China 2". The folk culture has a long history and has been passed down for over 300 years, with the Shangkou stilts yangko dance being a unique intangible cultural heritage project. It won the "Mountain Flower Award" in 2012 and participated in the opening ceremony of the "Twelve Sports" in 2013. There are also exhibitions of reed weaving and paper-cutting art. The Liaohe Green Bay scenic area offers tourism projects such as Liaohe rafting, beach swimming, fish farming in net cages, ecological picking, and CS base. There are attractions like the Manchu and Han-style courtyards, water dwellings, and agricultural gardens. The total area of the tourist area is 10.2 square kilometers. The unique wetland scenery of the Liao River and the rich folk culture attract visitors from all over the country.
