Introduction

Fanjing Mountain, located in Jiangkou County, Yinjiang County, and Songtao County in Tongren City, Guizhou Province, is one of the Five Great Buddhist Mountains in China and the top one in Guizhou. In 2018, it was listed as a World Natural Heritage Site. Fanjing Mountain, a national-level nature reserve, is home to nationally protected animals and plants such as golden snub-nosed monkeys and gongtong trees. On Fanjing Mountain, you can not only admire geological wonders like mushroom stones but also enjoy blooming rhododendrons in spring and spectacular snowscapes in winter. Numerous ethnic villages are scattered at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, such as Yunshe Village—the first village of the Tujia ethnic group in China; Zhaiying Ancient Village—the hometown of rolling dragon art in China; and Qishuping Qiang Village—the only Qiang ethnic village in Guizhou.
