Introduction

Songshan Nature Reserve is located in Yanqing County, northwest of Beijing, and is the first national level nature reserve in Beijing. With a total area of 4,671 hectares and just 90 kilometers from Beijing city, Songshan Nature Reserve boasts the only large natural Korean pine forest in the North China region and typical natural secondary broadleaf forest, as well as rich biodiversity. It has become a suitable place for studying the laws of biological succession and changes in the North China region, and also plays an active role in scientific research, visits, nature education, and promoting academic exchanges at home and abroad. With over 30 scenic spots, Songshan National Nature Reserve has abundant and unique scenic resources, offering visitors a picturesque, poetic and thoughtful experience. It has become a natural sanctuary for Beijing citizens and visitors alike to connect with nature, while also playing an important role in water conservation, desertification control, and air purification.
