Introduction
Wumeng Grassland, also known as Poshang Grassland, is located in the northern part of Panxian, about 89 kilometers away from the county town. The area belongs to the high-altitude area of Panbei, with the highest altitude of about 2,857 meters (the second highest in Guizhou) and the lowest altitude of about 740 meters. The landform is mainly plateau mountainous, with basalt and karst as the main types. The average temperature is about 11.1℃, and the climate is cool. It is a habitat for many ethnic minorities, including Yi, Bai, Miao, Buyi, etc.
Wumeng Grassland consists of 42 natural and cultural attractions, including the tens of thousands of acres of Poshang grassland pasture, tens of thousands of acres of short-tailed magpie forest, Shahe Longtan mouth karst cave, TianSheng Bridge, ancient banyan tree group, grassland lakes, thousands of acres of magpie forest, thousands of acres of natural forest, Long Tianyou ancient tomb, Yi village, Yi "torch festival", Bai "torch festival", etc. The resources are abundant. The scenery is relatively concentrated in the four Poshang areas in the north of Panxian, including Yuni, Shahe, and Baojigesuo rivers, with a total area of about 260 square kilometers.
