Introduction

The Dagejia Fountain is located in the Qiere Township of Angren County, Shigatse, Tibet. There are dozens of springs of various sizes scattered on both sides of the several hundred meters long river valley. It is the largest intermittent fountain group in China. This place is at an altitude of 5086 meters, 25 kilometers away from National Highway 219. The formation of Dagejia Fountain is related to the recent uplift of the Himalayas. This fountain group is of great significance for the study of the geological history of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
