Introduction

The geological relics of Xiaochanwo Scenic Area are imprints left by river erosion and geological processes. After the formation of the Yellow River, the flowing water successively eroded the two banks and riverbed of the ancient Yellow River, forming many worthy landscapes such as the Gourd Twin Islands, the erosion triangle surfaces on both sides, and water-eroded caves. The lateral erosion of the river and the process of crustal uplift formed a deep valley that is about 30 meters deep and 10 meters wide. The valley walls are surrounded by spiral and uneven rock formations, and the patterns of eroded caves and uneven rock walls from different stages of river water erosion are very obvious. Along the rock joints in the valley, sweet springs also occasionally bubble up, providing an endless supply.
