Introduction

The Tengchong Yaowang Palace was built by professionals in the pharmaceutical industry in the sixth year of the Ming Dynasty (1626 AD), and was expanded by the abbot Zi Weng in the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is shaped like a gourd and is not only known for its exquisite layout and unique architectural style, but also serves as an important witness to the development history of traditional Chinese medicine industry in Tengchong.
