Introduction
Jiaoshan Beilin, also known as Baomo Xuan, originated from Baomo Ting in the eighth year of Qingli in the Northern Song Dynasty (1048). The Beilin consists of cliff stone carvings and an exhibition hall, and it is one of the four major Beilins in China, second only to the Xi'an Beilin. There are more than 80 cliff stone carvings and over 400 stone tablets, including the "Yihe Inscription" revered by calligraphers as the "ancestor of large characters" from various dynasties, the Tang Dynasty carving of the "Diamond Sutra Verse," the Song Dynasty inscriptions by Mi Fu, Lu You's inscription on the Yihe monument in the snow, and the complete set of Qing Dynasty carvings of the Chengjiantang. They are all extremely precious. Over the years, Jiaoshan Beilin has attracted many visitors with its extensive cliff stone carvings, exquisite stone tablets, and charming Jiangnan garden scenery.
