Introduction
Mange Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Jinghong City. The temple has a magnificent scale, with 18 red plum columns supporting the main temple and 16 carved elephants on the eaves. Surrounding the temple are Dai bamboo buildings and tall broad-leaved trees such as Bodhi, mango, and betel nut, making it a typical Theravada Buddhist temple. The construction of the entire temple pays great attention to details and aesthetics, with mortise and tenon joints used for both the beams and arches, resulting in exquisite craftsmanship. Every year, during traditional Dai festivals such as "Door Opening Festival" and "Water Splashing Festival," local and international believers gather here to worship the Buddha and pay their respects.
