Introduction

The buildings in Shuijie are designed in an antique style, and the waterway stretches for 800 meters, winding along with many pavilions and towers standing by the water. The walls are made of clay bricks, the roofs are covered with green tiles or glazed tiles, and they are equipped with aluminum alloy antique doors and windows, showcasing the water village style of Yancheng and the historical and cultural landscape of Haiyan. Shuijie is divided into three main areas: Dazhai Gate, Tianshui Square, and Yishui Restaurant. It features unique attractions such as Shuiyun Pavilion, Piaozhou Theater, and Hanmo Pavilion, as well as some shops. Visitors can take a boat ride or a walk on land to explore the local opera, acrobatics, traditional crafts, and folk art to experience the unique charm of the water village and the historical and cultural landscape of Haiyan. Tourists can also taste local specialties, buy tourism crafts, local products, stationery, and enjoy local tea shops and restaurants.
