Langshan Scenic Area is a provincial-level scenic area and a AAAA-level national scenic tourism area in Jiangsu Province. It is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, six kilometers south of Nantong City. It consists of five mountains: Junshan, Jianshan, Langshan, Maanshan, and Huangnishan, with a total area of 11.27 square kilometers. The five mountains rise from the vast Jianghai Plain, standing proudly by the river, with beautiful natural scenery. It is known as the "natural water and stone bonsai" with a perfect combination of five green emeralds on the Yangtze River. Langshan is a famous Buddhist holy site, one of the eight famous Buddhist mountains in China. It has a strong Buddhist atmosphere and attracts many pilgrims every year. It is renowned for its "most effective holy mountain" and "the first mountain of the Yangtze River and the sea". The Langshan area also includes other attractions such as Shuihui Park, Nantong Horticultural Expo Garden, Junshan Scenic Area, and Oriental Garden of Longevity.
