Introduction

Zhu Sheng Bridge was originally called Wu Xi Bridge and was built during the reign of Hongwu in the Ming dynasty. It was requested to be built by Tian Daya, the ambassador for the Southern Guangxi Province, and He Hui, the prefect of Zhenyuan. However, due to internal conflicts within the Tian family, the construction of the bridge was stopped midway and the bridge collapsed and was repaired several times thereafter. The last repair was in 1723, during the birthday celebration of Emperor Kangxi. The Wu Xi Bridge was then renamed as Zhu Sheng Bridge. The landscape on both sides of the bridge is beautiful, and it is especially stunning at night.
