Introduction

Laohushan was formerly known as Jiangjunshan. During the joint military exercise in early spring 1996, more than 100 generals climbed the mountain to watch the battle, leaving a deep impression. Therefore, on April 1st of the same year, the Pingtan County Committee and County Government decided to change the name of the mountain to commemorate that grand occasion and also to better fit the theme of tourism development in the area. Jiangjunshan has an elevation of 104 meters and an area of approximately 1.1 square kilometers. It stands by the sea, with steep mountain terrain and huge rocks, forming unique landscapes such as interlocking stones, twisted trees, and breathtaking scenery.
