Introduction

Erfosi Temple is located in Laitan Township, Hechuan County, on the Yajue Peak Mountain in the west of Qujiang River. Originally named Yajue Chan Temple, the magnificent temple is divided into two parts, the upper and lower. The upper part features Linggong Palace, Tianwang Palace, Yuhuang Palace, Weituo Palace, Daxiong Palace, Guomu Niangniang Palace, and Guanyin Palace, while the lower part only has the Efo Temple with cliff carvings. The whole temple appears and disappears like clouds, creating a serene and pleasant atmosphere.

Transportation
Public bus: There are daily buses from Chongqing Caiyuanba Bus Station to Hechuan (or take Route 508 from Chongqing Railway Station to Hechuan), then take a bus from Hechuan Bus Station to Longshi (about 10 yuan), get off at the Laitan Intersection, and then take a motorcycle or small van to Guzhai. Self-driving: Take the highway from Chongqing to Hechuan, then head north to Longshi. Before reaching Longshi, turn right at the intersection to Laitan. The entire journey is on cement roads, about 90 kilometers and 1.5 hours.
