Introduction

Manchunman Buddhist Temple is located in the Dai Village in Menghan Town, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. It was built in 583 AD and has a history of over 1400 years. It is one of the famous Buddhist temples in the area. Legend has it that this temple is the first Buddhist temple in Xishuangbanna, but the original building was destroyed in the 1960s. The current temple was rebuilt in the late 1970s. During major Buddhist events, monks and believers from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and Xishuangbanna gather here to worship and chant, making the temple very popular. The entire temple presents a sense of tranquility and mystery. The interior of the main hall is tall and spacious, with 44 pillars, 12 meters and 4-5 meters high, decorated with red and gold powder patterns, shining brightly. The main building is the main hall, covering an area of 490 square meters, with a length of 23.5 meters and a width of 21 meters. The ends of the roof are decorated with auspicious birds, and there are several pottery decorations in the middle. The chanting of the young monks and the drifting incense add to the beauty of tranquility and mystery here.
