Introduction

Mount Gongga is located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in the middle of the Hengduan Mountains, adjacent to the Dadu River and Yalong River. The mountain soars into the sky, with its main peak reaching an altitude of 7,556 meters, earning it the title of "the highest snow mountain". The peak is covered in thick snow, showcasing awe-inspiring glacier landscapes every day. The valleys and slopes at the foot of the mountain are covered in dense virgin forests, surrounded by clear lakes, presenting a primitive and beautiful natural scenery. Centered around Mount Gongga, there are also famous attractions such as Hailuogou, Yanzigou, Mugecuo, Gongga Temple, Wuxu Lake, and the south slope of Mount Gongga. This place is revered by mountaineering enthusiasts as a sacred place, where one can find inner peace whether through hiking or cycling on this holy mountain peak.

Transportation
[External Transportation] From Chengdu Xinnanmen Station, there are daily buses to Hailuogou that depart in the morning. The journey takes 6-7 hours and goes directly to Hailuogou (Moxi Town) at the foot of Gongga Mountain. [Internal Transportation] Hailuogou Scenic Area has cable cars that can take visitors up the mountain. The price for the cable car is 135 yuan per person. Taking the cable car allows you to see the ice waterfall.
