Introduction

Sanduo Hall Museum is located in Caojia Courtyard in Taigu County. It is named after the numerous cultural relics it houses. The architecture of this mansion is unique, with a north-south orientation, ancient flavor, grand atmosphere, and can be regarded as a rare specimen of traditional Chinese residential architecture. The museum displays the history of Cao family's business development, classical furniture from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and treasures collected by the Cao family. The most distinctive one is the "Bai Shou Dapingfeng" (a large screen with 100 longevity characters inlaid with 92 pieces of natural marble with gold-plated back) and the precious Golden Locomotive Clock. From the rooftop of Sanduo Hall, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the entire hall. However, compared to the treasures of the Cao family, the stories behind the mansion are more fascinating, such as the ancestors' hardships in starting a business and the secret of the women's chambers.
