Introduction

The Daliao River system refers to the section of the river from Sancha River to Yingkou's estuary, including the confluence of the Hun River and the Taizi River. Before 1958, the Daliao River was the outlet of the lower reaches of the Liao River, but in the spring of that year, measures were taken to block the upper mouth of the Outer Liao River, since then only the water flows of the Hun River and the Taizi River emptied into the sea. The total length of the Daliao River is 97 kilometers and the basin area is 1962 square kilometers. The geographic location of the Daliao River is in the alluvial plain of the lower reaches of the Liao River. The soil on both banks is loamy and subclay sediment, the terrain is flat, and the river channel is winding and meandering, belonging to a curvilinear river type.
