Introduction

Rainbow Snail Mountain is located 30 kilometers north of Huludao City, with two mountains, including Dahuangluo Mountain and Xiaohuangluo Mountain. Divided by Jiadao Gou, Dahuangluo Mountain is to the west and Xiaohuangluo Mountain is to the east. Dahuangluo Mountain is 7 kilometers east of Gangtun, covering an area of 25 square kilometers. The main peak has an altitude of 900.8 meters, with a fan-shaped structure. The mountain top is called Yuhuangding, and the summit is called Nantianmen. The south face is a precipice, and the north slope is also steep, known as Shangtang on Dahuangluo Mountain. There are 99 stone steps and temples and monasteries. The main peak is the backbone of the mountain, and there are dozens of branches extending in all directions, known as the "Eight-direction Mighty Mountain". The majestic ancient pine trees stand tall, the greenery is lush, and the strange rocks are steep and rugged. There are wild animals such as deer, wolves, and pheasants on the mountain, as well as deposits of valuable metal ores. Xiaohuangluo Mountain has an altitude of over 700 meters, it is narrow from north to south, with steep cliffs and a strategic position. At sunset, the reflection of Rainbow Snail Mountain in the Nverhe River is called "Rainbow Snail Evening Glow", which is one of the famous landscapes in western Liaoning. There are temples such as Wanghai Temple and Longquan Temple, and Longquan Water springs out from a cave. At the mountain pass, there is a "Front Tower" with a height of about 10 meters, which is the site of a signal tower. There is also the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, with six forts built along the border and 15 garrisons, and the site is still preserved.
