Introduction

The Liangshan Yi Slave Society Museum is China's first national museum and the world's only museum dedicated to reflecting the form of slave society. It is not only a learning resource for a vibrant slave society, but also one of the museums with the most concentrated Yi cultural relics in China. The entire museum has seven exhibition halls, fully and systematically displaying the various social forms of the Liangshan Yi slave society, including political, economic, military, cultural, and folk customs. In addition, the display of ancient Yi cold weapons and the unique folk-made weaving machine of the Liangshan Yi people is also a major highlight worth seeing. Here, you will have a chance to learn about Yi history and the magnificent years that occurred under the Red Army's association.
