Introduction

The Yao Nv Lake is located in the Bozhe Gorge on the southwest side of Nianbao Yuzhe Main Peak. Its narrow and steep cliffs create a mysterious and awe-inspiring atmosphere that is quite different from that of the Xian Nu Lake. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to hike from Xian Nu Lake to Yao Nv Lake, and the total round trip time is over 7 hours. Situated deeper in the mountains, Yao Nv Lake boasts a charming view with emerald-green waters.

Transportation

To reach Nianbaoyuze scenic area, there is no public transportation available, and visitors usually charter cars from places such as Xining and Lanzhou. 1. In the summer, a small car charter from Xining costs around 500 yuan per day and usually follows a 7-day circuit: Xining-Qinghai Lake-Dari-Nianbaoyuze-Abu-Langmusi-Labu Temple and back to Xining or Lanzhou. 2. From Dawu town near Nianbaoyuze, it is possible to charter a car for a round trip in about a day, for around 400 yuan. The distance between Xianu Lake and Yaonu Lake is about ten kilometers. Walking takes about 4 hours one way, while riding a horse takes about 2.5 hours, with each horse costing around 100 yuan for a round trip.
