Introduction
Qinwang Lake, located in the western mountainous area of Shahe City, Hebei Province, is about 40 kilometers away from downtown Shahe City. Originally named Dongshiling Reservoir, it was renamed Qinwang Lake due to its abundant historical relics and legends related to Emperor Li Shimin of the Qin Dynasty to meet the needs of tourism development. During the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty, Emperor Li Shimin of the Qin Dynasty fought a major battle with the peasant uprising led by Liu Heida near the Mingshui River (near Linlianguan, Yongnian County, Hebei Province) while pacifying the world. There are also many historical relics and legends related to this war near Qinwang Lake, such as Qinwang's hidden soldier cave, Qinwang's fishing platform, Qinwang's grain storage area, Qinwang's water-blocking area, and so on.
