Introduction

Bangda Grassland is located in the high mountains and deep valleys of the Sanjiang River Basin in Chamdo Prefecture. It is a vast high-altitude grassland with gentle terrain and rich water and grass resources. The Yarlung Zangbo River, a branch of the Nujiang River, meanders through the grassland, while the wide low-lying marshes on both sides are covered with dense vegetation such as tall fescue and moss, creating a beautiful green landscape. In addition to herds of cattle and sheep grazing on the grassland, Tibetan antelopes occasionally shuttle through the area. In the past, Bangda Grassland was a must-visit place on the famous "Tea Horse Road". Nowadays, highways such as the Sichuan-Tibet and Sichuan-Yunnan highways have been opened here, connecting Tibet with neighboring provinces.
