Introduction

Moxi Ancient Town, located in the southern part of Luding County in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, is situated at the entrance of Hailuogou Scenic Spot, on the eastern slope of Gongga Mountain Scenic Area and the entrance of Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park. It serves as a reception base and entrance for tourists visiting Hailuogou Scenic Area. Moxi Town is approximately 304 kilometers away from Chengdu, 52 kilometers away from Luding, and about 70 kilometers away from Kangding. A road from Moxi to Kangding has been built, allowing tourists to go directly to Kangding to visit the plateau famous city after visiting Hailuogou. It takes about 10 minutes by foot to reach Hailuogou. Moxi Ancient Town has a long history and still preserves the Catholic Church built by the French, the camping site where Mao Zedong and other central leaders passed by with the Red Army in 1935, and a Gothic church. Walking north along the old street of Moxi Town, there is a Guanyin Temple on the right side of the road, where there is a 1,800-year-old ancient Chinese fir tree inside the small temple, attracting many visitors.
