Introduction
Ming Huangling, located about 7 kilometers southwest of Fengyang County, is the tomb of the parents of Zhu Yuanzhang. The construction of the tomb began in the 26th year of the Yuan Dynasty's Zhengtong (1366) and was completed in the 12th year of the Ming Dynasty's Hongwu (1369). There are 32 pairs of stone carvings on the avenue in front of the tomb, including the imperial tomb monument, the wordless monument, and the tomb mound, all of which have been well-preserved. The imperial tomb monument, personally written by Zhu Yuanzhang, records his own life experience. With its large number and exquisite craftsmanship of stone carvings, it is one of the most outstanding stone carving groups among all imperial tombs, and it is also certified by the Guinness World Records.
