Introduction

Liuzimiao is located in the southern part of Hunan Province, near Guangxi, and is a historically significant and beautiful place. There are many spectacular sights and important historical sites here. When people think of Yongzhou, they first think of Liu Zongyuan, a famous Tang Dynasty writer and one of the Eight Great Writers of the Tang and Song Dynasties. Liu Zongyuan was exiled to Yongzhou for 10 years due to his involvement in the failed Wang Shuwen reform. During this time, he created a large number of poems and essays, including "Eight Records of Yongzhou", "River Snow", and "On Capturing Snakes". Because of his concern for the people, he was deeply loved and respected by the masses.
