Introduction

Mount Bei Wudang is located on the northeast side of Bei Wudang Town, Fangshan County, Shanxi Province. It was originally named Longwangshan, but now it is known as Zhenwu Shan. The entire scenic area consists of 72 peaks, 36 rock formations and 24 streams, with a total area of 80 square kilometers. Currently, about 20 square kilometers have been developed for tourists. The peaks here are towering, the rocks are rugged, the pines are dense, and the streams are babbling, making the scenery very beautiful. The main peak Xianglu Feng has an altitude of 2280 meters, which is higher than the first of the Five Sacred Mountains, Mount Tai (1455 meters), and Nanyiwudang (1612 meters) in Hubei Province, which are 753 meters and 668 meters lower, respectively.
