Introduction
The Zhoukoudian Site Museum is located at the foot of Longgu Mountain in Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing. It is an ancient human site museum and was established in 1953. In 1929, Chinese paleoanthropologist Pei Wenzhong discovered the first complete Peking Man skull fossil at Longgu Mountain, which shocked the world. It is a world cultural heritage site, national AAAA-level scenic spot, national key cultural relics protection unit, and a national patriotic education demonstration base. It is approximately 48 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. It is a world-renowned archaeological site for ancient humans and ancient vertebrate animals, and it is the birthplace of "Peking Man".
