Introduction

The Baihelang Underwater Museum is the world's first underwater museum, using "pressure-free containers" to protect the underwater engravings on site. Through underwater visits, visitors can appreciate the thousand-year history, culture, and customs of Baihelang. The inscriptions on Baihelang record more than 1,200 years of hydrological data from 72 different years since the Tang Dynasty, and have important hydrological scientific value, known as the "world's first ancient hydrological station". The inscriptions cover various styles of calligraphy, including seal script, clerical script, regular script, running script, and cursive script, with the calligraphy of Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Su Shi, and Huang Tingjian, earning the reputation of "underwater stone forest".
