Introduction

The Zhongyuan Buddha is located in Yaoshan Buddha Spring Temple, Lushan County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. It is the "tallest Buddhist statue in the world". The total height of the Buddha is 208 meters, with a body height of 108 meters, a lotus platform height of 20 meters, a vajra platform height of 25 meters, and a mandala platform height of 55 meters. The Buddha's eyes are 1.9 meters high and 3.9 meters wide, and the Buddha's hands are 19 meters high, 9 meters wide, and 5 meters thick. The Zhongyuan Buddha Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The overall statue is cast with 3,300 tons of copper, 108 kilograms of gold, and more than 15,000 tons of special steel, with a surface area of 11,300 square meters, assembled by welding 13,300 copper plates. The Tianrui auspicious golden bell in the scenic area weighs 116 tons and is the "world's largest bronze bell struck from the outside" recorded in the "Guinness World Records". The President of the World Buddhist Light Association and the founding abbot of Taiwan's Foguangshan, Master Hsing Yun, wrote the Chinese characters "The First Zhongyuan Buddha in the World" for the Great Buddha.

Internal Transportation: Shuttle buses are available for going up and down the mountains. External Transportation: TIPS: When going to the Yao Mountain Buddha Scenic Area, it is recommended to get off at the "Shangtang Village" before Yao Mountain Town. The Buddha Scenic Area is located in Shangtang Village, and the Yao Mountain Scenic Area is located in Yao Mountain Town. By Car: 1. Zhengzhou City - Yao Mountain ①Zhengzhou Long-distance Bus South Station (intersection of Jingguang Road and South Third Ring Road), departs at 14:40 every day, ticket price is 65 yuan, about 4 hours. ②Zhengzhou Bus Passenger Transport Station (intersection of Jingguang Road and Hanghai Middle Road), departs at 12:50 and 16:20 each day, ticket price is 60 yuan. 2. Pingdingshan City - Yao Mountain 1) Direct: ①Pingdingshan Passenger Transport Center Station (south section of Pingdingshan Zhongxing Road) departs twice a day at 6:50 and 13:30, ticket price is 27 yuan. ②Yingcheng Bus Station of Pingdingshan Trade Square, departs six times a day, ticket price is 28 yuan, about 3 hours. The first one is at 5:40 (summer) or 6:20 (winter). The second one is at 7:00. The third one is at 10:00. The fourth one is at 13:00. The fifth one is at 15:00. The sixth one is at 17:00 (summer) or 16:30 (winter). (Summer time is from March 15th to November 15th, and winter time is from November 15th to March 15th.) 2) Transfer: Pingdingshan City - Lushan Town - Yao Mountain From Pingdingshan Passenger Transport Center Station to Lushan, there is a bus every 10 minutes from 6:00 to 18:30, ticket price is 12 yuan, and then take a bus from Lushan Town to Yao Mountain. 3. Lushan Town - Yao Mountain Tourist buses to Yao Mountain Scenic Area depart about once every 10 minutes on average from Lushan Long-distance Bus Station opposite to Lushan Railway Station, with a ticket price of 15 yuan. 4. Luoyang City - Yao Mountain From Luoyang Bus Station to the east of Yao Mountain, there is one bus every day, departing at 14:30, and the ticket price is 63 yuan. 5. Luohe City - Yao Mountain From Luohe Bus Station (intersection of Gong'an Street and Renmin Road), there is one bus every day, departing at 8:00, and the ticket price is 65 yuan. By Train: 1. Trains from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Guiyang, Luoyang, Dengzhou, Nanyang, Zunyi, Chongqing, Yichang, Xinxiang, Taiyuan, and Xiamen all stop at Lushan Railway Station. From there, take the tourist bus to Yao Mountain Scenic Area at Lushan Long-distance Bus Station opposite the railway station. 2. Take a train to Zhengzhou Railway Station from a provincial capital city, and then take a shuttle bus to Yao Mountain at Zhengzhou South Station or Main Station. By Air: Fly to Xinzheng Airport, then take a car to Zhengzhou (or Pingdingshan), and then take a public bus to Yao Mountain Scenic Area. Self-Driving: Get off at the Yao Mountain exit on the Zhengyao Expressway, follow the signs to Yao Mountain Scenic Area.
