Introduction
Lingyangxia, located in the southwest of Dinghu District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, is one of the three major gorges of Xijiang River passing through the ancient county of Zhaoqing, and it is the most magnificent and majestic one among the three gorges. The downstream of the gorge has the highest, deepest, and longest water flow. It is said that there is a cave on the north bank of Lingyangxia, which used to have a "Lingxia Ancient Temple" built and named Xiasan Temple due to its location at the mouth of the gorge. Xiasan Temple was once one of the eight scenic spots in Zhaoqing during the Ming and Qing dynasties, but the ancient temple was destroyed in modern times, and only the ruins remain.
