Introduction

Moshigong Park is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and geological research center, with rare geological wonders and the unique plateau stone forest landscape in China. It has become a diversified scenic spot integrating sightseeing, experience, scientific research, and popular science, and is known as the "8th most beautiful scenic avenue in China". The stone forest contains calcium salt, and the crystalline water it contains is affected by air humidity. It appears light gray and light blue when dry, and dark black when wet. Therefore, the stone forest in Moshigong Park has two characteristics: one is seasonal color change, light gray and blue in spring and winter, bright blue in summer and autumn, especially in winter, it looks more like a fairyland in the blue veil; the other is that the color of the stone forest will change with different humidity and sunlight intensity on the same day, allowing people to immerse themselves in a colorful and mysterious world, full of fun. There are many stone forests in China, but unique stone forests like Bamei are extremely rare. Currently, there is only one in the country and it is definitely not to be missed. To understand the formation of Bamei Stone Forest, we need to start with the structural topographic map of Sichuan Province. This map shows three structural lines, which are Xianshuihe fault zone, Longmen Mountain fault zone, and Anninghe fault zone, dividing the entire Sichuan land into three parts like a "Y" shape. They are the most active and intense fault zones in China.
