Introduction

Chrysanthemum Terrace, located in Gangou Township, approximately 50 kilometers southwest of Urumqi, with an average elevation of about 2200 meters. Adjacent to Nanshan Xibaiyanggou, it is a forest meadow grassland in Zhongshan. It is named because wild chrysanthemums and other flowers bloom from April to October every year, filling the mountains with fragrance. The "terrace" of Chrysanthemum Terrace is about 5-6 kilometers long and 300-500 meters wide. Surrounded by mountains, deep and secluded valleys, scattered yurts, and murmuring streams. In the dense forest, there are often deer rushing. Chrysanthemum Terrace is a natural large garden hidden in the depths of the mountains. It has received many distinguished guests from China and abroad. During festive holidays, it is also a venue for Kazak herdsmen to hold horse racing, wrestling, courting contests, and Akyn singing performances. It is a grassland in the middle of the mountains, with large patches of wild chrysanthemums growing. From April to October every year, these chrysanthemums compete to bloom, covering the mountains and spreading their fragrance beyond the trees, hence the name.
