Introduction
The architectural style has a typical British style, which is distinct from other churches in Tianjin and stands out. The church site was donated by the British Concession Works Bureau in 1893. The location is at the intersection of Tai'an Road and Zhejiang Road. At that time, it was still a watery area. It took 10 years to build the church, and it was officially completed in 1903. All the pastors of the church were British. In May 1935, the church was severely damaged by a major fire. The restoration project was completed in June 1936.
