Jinhekou Forest Park, A pristine forest paradise with scenic waterfalls

Introduction

Jinhekou Forest Park is located at the foot of Xiaowutai Mountain in Hebei Province and is the only remaining original forest near Beijing, covering an area of 330,000 acres. The mountains and waters in the park are steep and clear, with natural scenery such as "Pearl Spring", "Crescent Lake", and "Five-level Waterfall". Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the complete Zhao Great Wall and "Jinhe Ten Temples" by climbing the mountain peak. In addition, the park is a haven for flora and fauna, and an important natural reserve in Hebei Province. There are more than 1,320 kinds of plants in the original forest, and rare birds and beasts such as the world's rare birds and national first-class protected animal, Hazel Grouse, inhabit here.

Jinhekou scenic spot is about 16 kilometers away from Xiaowutai. You can reach Chiyabao Village first and then hire a car or drive there. 1. Self-driving: ▲ Route 1: Beijing - G6 Jingzang Expressway - Jimingyi - Zhuolu - Taohua Town - Chiyabao Village - Jinhekou Forest Park ▲ Route 2: Beijing - G7 Jingxin Expressway - Zhuolu - Taohua Town - Chiyabao Village - Jinhekou Forest Park 2. Train: You can take a train from Beijing West to Xiahua Garden, and then hire a car to go to Xijinhekou (or Chiyabao and Xiaohuichuan); or take a bus to Weixian from Xiahua Garden, get off at Taohua Town and then hire a car to Jinhekou Forest Park. 3. Bus: Backpackers generally choose to depart from Beijing and take a long-distance bus to Weixian (reference price: 90 yuan/one-way), get off at Taohua Town. Taohua Town is about 20 kilometers away from Jinhekou Forest Park, hire a car to get there; the journey takes about 40 minutes.
