Introduction
Located on Hubin Road in the northwest part of downtown Fuzhou, there is a historic classical garden called Xihu Park, which has a history of over 1700 years. According to records, in the third year of Tai Kang in the Jin Dynasty, Yangao, the governor of the county, introduced water from the northwest mountains to irrigate farmland here. As the park is located to the west of the Jin Dynasty city wall, it is called Xihu. The park has three small islands - Kaihua Island, Xieping Island, and Yaojiao Island, and is also home to the Fujian Provincial Museum and the Food Exhibition Hall. Every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, thrilling and exciting dragon boat races are held in Xihu Park. Intense and spectacular racing scenes unfold in the vast sky and water, while the sound of gongs and drums echoes through the clouds.
